Italian PM Giorgia Meloni announces separation from her partner Andrea Giambruno on X

New Delhi, Oct 20 (ANI): Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni separated from her television journalist partner Andrea Giambruno on Oct 20. Giambruno and Giorgia Meloni were not married and have been long-term partners. Italian PM also thanked Andrea Giambruno for the splendid years the duo spent together. The couple also have a seven-year-old daughter, Ginevra. Giambruno is the presenter of a news programme transmitted by Mediaset, part of the MFE media group. Notably, Andrea Giambruno has drawn criticism in recent weeks for sexist comments made on and off air. Recently, another Mediaset show broadcasted off-air excerpts from Giambruno's programme showing him using foul language. In August, Giambruno faced flak for apparent victim-blaming comments following a gang rape case, Reuters reported. Meloni had said after that episode that she should not be judged for comments made by her partner, according to Reuters. Meloni had also said that in future she would not answer questions about her partner’s behavior, the news agency added.
