Actress Thuy Anh regrets her 4-year hiatus and reveals details about her current life.

Hanoi [Vietnam], October 31: After a four-year absence from the screen, Thùy Anh admitted to facing many difficulties upon returning to acting. The actress also spoke about her career direction and her desire to reinvent herself through roles with complex psychological depth.
Sharing her feelings about Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc's return to the big screen with Thanh Nien newspaper, actress Thuy Anh expressed her excitement: "The first thing I have to say is 'amazing'. Because the movie 'Sister Sister 3' features the return of Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, a close older sister of mine. So even before watching the movie or knowing the plot, I already feel 'amazing'."
When asked about her plans to return to acting in the near future, Thùy Anh affirmed that this is her wish. "For me, acting has always been an inner drive, making me constantly want to pursue this profession," the actress revealed.
Not wanting to be typecast in a specific role, Thùy Anh said she still has many aspirations she hasn't had the chance to fulfill. "There's one type of role I really want to take on, and that's a psychologically demanding role. Perhaps the psychology is a bit convoluted, a bit twisted, and I want to showcase many facets of the character," she shared. However, at this stage, the actress said she prioritizes roles that can reach a wider audience before trying her hand at more challenging and niche characters.
Looking back on her career, Thùy Anh says there are quite a few things she regrets. One of them is the four-year period from age 18 to 22 when she temporarily stopped acting. The actress said that after participating in "Wings in the Air" at age 18, she received many offers to act in films. However, faced with the choice between studying and pursuing art, Thùy Anh decided to dedicate her time to completing her university program. Looking back, she believes that the four-year hiatus created a significant gap in her career. Upon returning, the actress had to start a new journey to establish herself, in a context where she was both considered a new face and no longer completely unfamiliar to the film market. Although she acknowledges this as a somewhat regrettable period in her career, Thùy Anh does not deny the value of the decision to complete her education.
Besides sharing about her work, Thuy Anh also revealed changes in how she enjoys life at the age of 31. "Before, I used to take advantage of any free time to sleep because my work schedule was quite busy. Now, I like to spend time playing with my cats and reading. I've been reading quite a lot lately," the actress shared.
Traveling is also one of the actress's hobbies. However, her work schedule leaves her with little time for long trips. "I only have a few days of free time, so it's difficult to go to the places I want to visit. Therefore, I usually choose places that are relatively close or stay at home to enjoy some time to myself," she revealed.
After busy periods at work, reading, playing with her cats, or spending time relaxing at home has become Thùy Anh's way of balancing her life. Meanwhile, in the film industry, the actress still hopes for more opportunities to try her hand at diverse roles, especially characters with psychological depth that require versatile acting skills.
