Hanoi [Vietnam], June 3: Quang Tuan has confirmed his participation in the film 'The Ghost Catcher' after the success of his previous blockbuster films. The 8X actor continues to be chosen for the lead male role in another horror film.
Previously, Quang Tuan made his mark with the two parts of "The Corpse Possessed ," grossing over 100 billion VND. In the opening scenes of " The Soul-Capturing Demon ," Quang Tuan sparks curiosity with a moment where he stands facing a mirror riddled with cracks. However, instead of reflecting his image intact, the mirror reveals a grotesque entity sitting on Quang Tuan's neck, its blood-red hand gripping his head. This detail leaves viewers wondering whether Quang Tuan's character is blind to the truth or deliberately concealing and refusing to confront what exists within himself.
The teaser poster also creates a contrast with two tones that are both cold and gloomy. On the mirror side, a cool blue tone dominates, contrasting with the dark yellow-brown on the right half, creating the feeling of two parallel worlds. This separation makes the character seem to be standing on the boundary between lucidity and delirium - a common technique in horror films.
In particular, the blood-red tagline "On the right day, the soul follows the devil" carries the connotation of a curse. This piques the audience's curiosity about the seemingly buried secrets. Besides Quang Tuan, the film also features Dinh Y Nhung, Anh Pham , La Thanh, Uy Tran, Quoc Tan, Ngan Quynh, and Sy Toan. Directed by Hai Bui, the film is scheduled to be released on July 10th.
