Ukrainian government official faces custody in corruption probe

Kyiv [Ukraine], November 24: Yuri Shchyhol, the former head of Ukraine's state communications authority, has been dismissed on suspicion of corruption and remanded in custody.
A court ordered his detention for two months, the press service of the special anti-corruption prosecutor's office announced on Thursday. Shchyhol's bail was set at 25mn Ukrainian hryvnia ($693,000).
President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Shchyhol as a member of the military leadership in a presidential decree issued on Wednesday evening. (QNA)
