Hanoi [Vietnam], March 1: On her personal page, the wife of People's Artist Cong Ly stated that this was not a spontaneous choice but something she had thought about and pondered over for many years before finally making the decision.
Ngoc Ha expressed her belief that each person only lives once, so she hopes to live her life in the most meaningful way possible. Instead of making formal promises in the new year, she chose concrete action: completing the organ donation registration process with the hope of being able to help others in need.
According to her, the thought that a decision made today could open up opportunities for someone else in the future brings her a sense of relief and peace. The wife of People's Artist Cong Ly emphasized that she doesn't consider this a big deal, but simply a choice stemming from maturity and a sincere desire to give back. Ngoc Ha also stated that, besides nurturing her family and loved ones, she hopes to leave a good legacy for even those she has never met. For her, living kindly while alive and maintaining that kindness even after death is what truly matters.
Ngoc Ha's post quickly garnered attention from the online community. Many viewers left comments expressing their appreciation for this decision. One user wrote: "This is a very humane gesture; not everyone has the courage and foresight to do this." Another shared: "Reading this warms my heart; giving life is the noblest thing." Besides that, some also argued that such practical actions have a greater impact than any appeal, because they stem from personal awareness and responsibility.
Before Ngoc Ha, many Vietnamese artists such as Viet Trinh, Ngoc Son, Nguyen Phi Hung, Hari Won. had inspired others by deciding to register to donate their organs after death.
Viet Trinh revealed that she had often been troubled by the traditional belief that "one must die intact." However, after watching the story of a wife who donated her husband's organs, saving the lives of five patients, she decided to fulfill her long-held wish.
Previously, Ngoc Son registered to donate his organs in 2007 despite opposition from his family. He believed that saving lives was a source of happiness. Nguyen Phi Hung also overcame his parents' objections to make the decision, hoping to spread love. Hari Won had previously registered in South Korea, expressing her view that her body, after death, could help others have a "second life."
In addition, several other artists and MCs have also completed the organ donation procedures, contributing to changing public perception of this humane act. These stories show that organ donation is no longer a strange concept but is gradually becoming a choice for many people, including artists and those with considerable influence in society.
