Ninh Dương Lan Ngọc makes a comeback, unafraid of being compared to Chi Pu and Kỳ Duyen.

Hanoi [Vietnam], September 24: Following Ky Duyen and Chi Pu, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc has been announced as the female lead in 'Sister Sister 3'. The 36-year-old actress openly shared about the pressure of her return to the big screen alongside two beautiful and talented younger actresses.

After a period of teasing, the cast and crew of " Sister Sister 3 " officially announced the main cast at the premiere event on the afternoon of September 23rd. Aside from actor Quoc Anh, who was unavailable due to scheduling conflicts, the entire crew and main cast were present: producer Will Vu, director Nguyen Huu Hoang, People's Artist Le Khanh, actresses Ky Duyen, Chi Pu, Steven Nguyen, and others.
Notably, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc was the last female lead revealed by the production team at the event. Previously, when the film crew released "teaser" images of the actress, Lan Ngoc denied her participation in the project. She explained that she collaborated with the crew to keep the role a secret as a strategy to gradually introduce each actor.
In her return to the big screen after four years, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc plays Thi Lieu, a character from the South set in the North, with complex and dramatic emotional connections whose details have yet to be revealed. According to the 36-year-old beauty, Thi Lieu is a type of character she has never portrayed before. "There are also invisible pressures when I return to film after a long time, and I'm also working with very talented, intelligent, and perceptive people, so I have to try even harder," she confided.
Lan Ngọc said that the character was challenging for her because she had to restrain her energy, no longer being the hyperactive, lively girl she usually is. Transforming into Thị Liễu helped the actress mature and become more restrained in many aspects. The beautiful actress hopes that viewers will also see the difference between this role and her previous on-screen portrayals. "I don't dare set my expectations too high because I understand that at some point there will be transformations, and I believe that these transformations have brought me learning and growth in my acting career," the 9X artist added.
To date, the film crew hasn't revealed much about the story or the characters of each actor. Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc herself only revealed that she "cut off" 10 years from her age, transforming into a 26-year-old woman in the film. The actress admitted that she had doubts about whether she could truly embody the character, but when the director placed his trust in her, she believed she could do it.
