Mr. Trump's campaign fundraising increased continuously

Washington [US], October 5: Despite facing many criminal and civil lawsuits, former US President Donald Trump still attracts increasing campaign funding.
Reuters on October 5 reported that former US President Donald Trump 's election campaign said it had raised more than 45.5 million USD in the third quarter of this year, nearly 30% higher than the second quarter.
The fundraising acceleration could be a sign that Trump's 2024 campaign budget is benefiting from his legal problems, which include four indictments.
The announcement from the Trump campaign did not provide details on how they arrived at that number. Trump's campaign said it has more than $37.5 million available, including about $36 million for the primary.
Mr. Trump is the leader in the race to represent the Republican Party running for President of the United States in November 2024. His closest rival within the party is Florida governor Ron DeSantis, who trails by a wide margin in public opinion polls.
Mr. DeSantis' campaign said on October 4 that it had raised $15 million in the third quarter, although not all of that money will be available for use in the Republican primary
This is lower than the $20 million in the second quarter, a possible sign that donors are unhappy that he has not been able to lose Mr. Trump's leading position.
Former President Trump faces four criminal indictments for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election victory of Democratic Party representative Joe Biden, his handling of confidential documents after leaving the White House and questionable pay to a porn star.
Mr. Trump denies the charges and pleads not guilty in all cases.
In addition, he also faces a civil compensation trial for defamation charges against a writer who sued him for rape, although he denies it.
He was also accused by New York state attorney general Letitia James, a Democrat, of inflating the value of his assets to secure better loan and insurance terms. He said the incident was part of a "political witch hunt".
Mr. Trump's campaign raised more than 35 million USD in the second quarter, nearly double the number in the first quarter.
