Hanoi [ Vietnam], April 25: In the evening of April 23rd, singer Bang Cuong held a concert celebrating 25 years of his singing career titled 'We Sing for Life' at the Khong Ten Tea Room (Ho Chi Minh City).
During the concert, Bang Cuong performed a series of songs associated with his name such as: Love and Nostalgia, Sad River, Your Image. He also sang duets with Quang Ha on old hits, evoking youthful memories for many audience members.
Meritorious Artist Hoai Linh makes a comeback to the tea house.
One of the highlights was the appearance of Meritorious Artist Hoai Linh in the comedy skit " Winning the Lottery ," performing alongside artist Tien Khoa. On stage, the charming comedian, dressed in a traditional Vietnamese outfit and headscarf, captivated the audience.
After the performance, the comedian emotionally shared: "It's been a long time since I returned to the tea room setting, and I'm very happy to see you all again. I hope everyone will continue to support us so that singers, especially young people, have the motivation to pursue this profession."
For Bang Cuong, the presence of his senior colleague holds special significance. The male singer said he always cherishes the affection and support that Hoai Linh has given to his juniors throughout his career.
A special close relationship with singer Quang Ha
The close friendship of over 20 years between Quang Ha and Bang Cuong has won the hearts of many fans. Quang Ha revealed that in 2004, when he met Bang Cuong in Hanoi, it was Bang Cuong who "enlightened" him and encouraged him to move to Saigon to pursue his career. Because he felt indebted to his younger friend for his kindness and generosity, Quang Ha not only participated in the concert without receiving any fee, but also dedicated all his efforts to supporting him.
Singer Quang Ha revealed that he stayed up all night to handle ticket sales, calling each close friend to remind them of the schedule because he was afraid they might buy tickets and then... forget. Even though he usually sleeps late, Quang Ha messaged early in the morning to check on the ticket situation because he was so worried about his junior colleague. To boost media attention, Quang Ha even posted a personal photo with the caption "singing at a tea room" to attract audiences to Bang Cuong's performance.
"Ha owes Cuong a debt of gratitude. Today, Ha flew to Saigon just to perform and will fly back tomorrow morning to fully support him because Cuong has already worked so hard," Quang Ha confided.
Also in the program, the male singer shared that after 25 years on stage, he has become more mature in expressing his emotions. At over 40 years old, becoming a father for the first time, he is still a little inexperienced but feels happy with his current family life.
Amidst the constant rise of new generation artists, Bang Cuong sees this as a natural law of the profession. He chooses to learn, adapt, and believes that his music still holds a special place in the hearts of nostalgic audiences.
