Biden holds last turkey pardon as US prez

Washington [US], November 27: John Zimmerman, chairman of the National Turkey Federation, and his son Grant, 9, attend the National Thanksgiving Turkey Pardoning event hosted by President Joe Biden (right) on the South Lawn of the White House, in Washington, US. Biden pardoned two turkeys named Peach and Blossom. An estimated 46 million turkeys are slaughtered every year on the holiday and PETA protested, urging society to consider more humane dinner options. (DPA)
