Egyptian president says security of Gulf states, Egypt connected

Cairo (Egypt), September 9: Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Wednesday said security of the Gulf states and Egypt's national security are interconnected, the presidency office said in a statement.
Sisi made the remarks during a meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah.
The meeting tackled different aspects of bilateral ties and regional issues, especially the developments in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Afghanistan, the statement added.
The two sides agreed on the importance of coordinating efforts towards promoting solidarity among all the Arab countries, it added.
Sisi also highlighted the Egyptian-Kuwaiti ties that have been extended for decades via fruitful cooperation and coordination, stressing "Egypt's keenness to advance the strong mutual cooperation for the interests of the two peoples and the entire Arab nation."
