Armenia declares mourning days for Yerevan blast victims

Yerevan [Armenia], August 17: Armenia on Tuesday announced Aug. 17 and 18 as days of mourning for those who died in the Surmalu market blast on Sunday.
The decision was published on the official website of the Armenian government.
The death toll of the Surmalu market blast has reached 16 as of Tuesday, according to a statement of the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Three were missing, and seven were still hospitalized, said the Ministry, adding that the fire had been put out and the rescue operation was going on.
An investigation has been launched to find out the cause of the blast.
A deadly explosion hit a market in Armenia's capital on Sunday.
Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan on Monday denied the possibility that the blast was caused by terrorist attack.
Local reports said the blast started at a fireworks warehouse of the market, which caused a big fire later.
